BIOGRAPHY

Hi! I’m Rosemary Crow and I’m currently a senior at the Wakefield School. Next year, I’ll be attending UNC Asheville where I plan on studying philosophy and psychology. My future plans can be summarized with a quote by the late poet d.a. levy: “Think in terms of living, know you are dying, and wonder why.” Ultimately, I believe we all need to ask the question of “why,” and seek to experience everything that our consciousness has to offer.
I decided to focus my thesis on psychedelic therapy because I believe psychedelics have the potential to enhance and save millions of lives. Psychedelic drugs are often viewed with a false stigma, and in my thesis I hope to break down this stigma. Across the world, millions of people struggle with mental health, and millions of people are having trouble finding meaning and purpose in life. Could psychedelics, as author Tom Wolfe said, help us “rediscover our divine birthright?” In my opinion, the answer is yes.
